Story behind the brand
After more than ten years riding everything from dirt bikes to superbikes, I found myself doing what a lot of riders do. The quick trip to the shops. A coffee run. A 20-minute blast through the hills.
The helmet goes on, but the leathers stay hanging in the garage. Not because I don't understand the risks, but because sometimes you just don't want to spend fifteen minutes gearing up for a short ride. The problem is that the road doesn't care how long you're riding for.
The driver who doesn't head-check.
The pothole around a blind corner.
The branch across the road that you couldn't have seen.
I've had my fair share of crashes over the years. Grazes, bruises and close calls. Thankfully nothing life-changing, but enough to remind me that every ride carries the same consequences.
That's where SquidWorX started. We aren't trying to replace race leathers or convince anyone that a hoodie belongs on a track day.
We're building gear for the rides that most of us actually do.
Protective apparel that looks and feels like the clothes you'd wear every day, without sacrificing the protection that could make all the difference when things go wrong.
We're not the first company to make an armoured hoodie. But too many options cost $350–$400, often without armour included, and many aren't fully lined with genuine Kevlar.
Our goal is simple. Make protective riding gear more accessible, more comfortable and more casual, so riders are more likely to wear protection on the rides that matter most.
Because when the choice is between full leathers and nothing at all, there should be a better option.
That's SquidWorX.
